1. Area of History and Historic Memory

After almost thirty years after the dictatorship, the historical studies about this period are still necessary. Many lies and half truths are still heard in public opinion. That is the reason that Foundation found to treat "Historic Memory" as fonamental issue in catalan society.

This area includes research, publications and divulgation of History of Catalonia, the one of the real heroes, almost always forbidden, and the one of the worker's movement.

The present projects are "Oral Memory", the collection of forbidden protagonists of our History, and also the management of Foundation historic files and bibliographic fund.


2. The Tought of Transformative Left in Catalonia

This second area is related to analysis of the catalan Left and scientiphic though. Foundation works to become a focus and a cross point of Tranformative Left though in our country in economic, social, political and cultural fields, with the elaboration of proposals contributing to increase our citizens quality of life. To reach these objectives we propose research, debates and own activities, as well as promotion of the interchange of leftist ideas in the catalan society.


3. Social projects

Third area consists in social oriented projects with the aim of promoting citizienship participation, as well as democratic and progressive values. They are mainly adressed to local espaces and we work with some of the colectives more affected by discrimination: third age, youth, women and immigrants. We also work with other associations and social movements of catalan civil society. Our goal is to work transversal issues like women discrimination, interculturality and peace and solidarity values.


4. International: Europe, the World and Cooperation

Foundation objectives and values are based on the belief in equality of men and women, the respect of enviroment and the promotion of economic, social and cultural rights of the people. The fourth and final area consist is International issues, in different aspects: Europe, the World and Cooperation.

Europe The present construction model, the fitting of Catalonia in Europa, the paper of Europe in the World and mediterranean regional reality.

The World With a special attention to Medium East and Latin America. We would like to achive two aims: research, publication and difussion of our materials, and promote values as peace, solidarity, fraternal relation among the countries through interchange of people and ideas.

Cooperation The world in XXI century offers terrible asymetries between wealth and poverty, security and conflicts, progress and enviromental damage. Neoliberal politics applied in most of the peripheric countries, deny to the people access to health care, education, production and consume of , hidraulic and energetic resources, increases weapons traffic, as well as militarism and war. Foundation works together with social organizations, universities, centers for research and Foundations from other countries working for the peace, solidarity, human and social rights. We promote, cooperation projects for improvement of life conditions at the empoverished, peripheric countries.
